British Rabbit Council # OR7411
Hi there!! And thank you for visiting my website. I am a Mexican guy, who came to UK to do his studies in 1994. All my life I have loved challenges, my spoken English was extremely bad but my written English was better, therefore it was a challenge that I was willing to take and prove that I could do my career in a different language and culture. And that is What I feel about my lionheads, a breed that I started breeding in 2002, and with the knowledge that I acquired from my grandfather, who used to breed Californians and New Zealand’s for meat, but I was more pet orientated. And now by using those skills learned from my grandfather and the challenge that a new breed in the rabbit world represent I have manage to create a fantastic lionhead rabbits that knowledgeable judges are willing to put as a Best in Show. Therefore I hold the first "Best in Show" with a colour lionhead (Sooty Fawn) at a three stars show at Thame show (24/03/08) with Ch Ottavius Jae, when she was only 4 months old.

But still there is a lot of work to be done, I agree, but also there are still judges out there that do not accept lionheads as a new breed at all, by commenting about the breed as the “ugly ducklings of the fancy”, and it’s a shame because all the rabbit breeds were in the same stage at the beginning of their lifes, like the English, polish, rex, lops and so on, why is so difficult to accept a new breed and judge them to the correct standard and no how they interpret it. Therefore my long term strategy plan is to educate those judges by creating outstanding good quality specimens that can be admired not just in UK but around the world.
MY LATEST ACHIVEMENTS!!!!
